Common Questions & Answers

You will get your eSIM plan via email within 5-10 minutes. If you didn’t receive your eSIM plan within 10 minutes, please check your spam folder first then contact us via [email protected].
The eSIM plan will start as soon as you scan and activate the QR code. Therefore, you can either buy the eSIM plan prior to your trip or after you arrive at your destination.
You can’t use an eSIM with a locked phone. To check whether your device is locked, please contact your carrier or check the [Settings] menu. If your phone is locked, you should contact your domestic carrier to unlock your phone before you can use the eSIM plan.
Scoot provides data-only eSIM plans. Therefore local or international voice calls and SMS are not included in our eSIM plan. If needed, you are able to make a call via WhatsApp, Skype, or other social media through the use of your eSIM plan.
Scoot doesn’t offer top-up service right now. If you want to use your eSIM plan longer, you will need to buy a new eSIM plan. (Top-up feature is coming soon!)
Once an eSIM plan is installed, it can’t be reinstalled or reissued. If you are facing any problem, please don’t delete your eSIM plan – instead, contact Team Scoot via [email protected] first.

Important Note

Must know before use

  • An eSIM can be used in a carrier-unlocked device that has dual SIM with eSIM features. Please make sure that you have an eSIM compatible device.
    iOS and Android devices released after 2019 that are compatible with an eSIM : Apple iPhone XR, XS or newer, Pixel 4 or newer, Samsung Fold or newer.
  • Once the QR code is installed, it can’t be reinstalled or reissued. Removing an eSIM plan will delete the eSIM data plan from your phone, so please don’t delete your eSIM plan by tapping [Remove Cellular Plan] button while in use.
  • An eSIM can be used while you turn on the [Data Roaming] for the eSIM plan you added. This will not charge you any additional fees, as long as you set up the eSIM plan successfully. Also, turn off the [Cellular Data Switching] to make sure that you only use data associated with the eSIM plan you purchased.
  • You can check the eSIM data usage through the device settings. we can’t tell you the remaining data. This feature will be added soon.
  • An eSIM is a digital product. For this reason, refunds can’t be processed due to simple buyer’s remorse. After successful activation, anything that would delete or remove the eSIM plan is the responsible for the customer. A refund will not be processed.
